Our Learning
In Autumn 2, Science and Geography are our learning journey enquiries.
In Science, our golden thread is 'Investigation and Fair Testing' - we will be focusing on States of Matter (solids, liquids and gases). We will be getting hands-on and running lots of fun experiments, especially reversible and irreversible reaction experiments!
In Geography, we will be looking at how earthquakes are formed, the earthquakes that happened in Haiti in 2010 and 2021, as well as the effect these had on the Haitian people.
In Maths this term, we will be looking at multiplication, division, and fractions. We will also start to look at test-technique and will start practicing arithmetic tests ready for Y6 SATs.

RWE
Our learning focus for RWE this half term is 'Why do Christians believe Jesus was the Messiah?'
PE
We have PE on Wednesdays and Fridays. Children to wear their PE kits to school on these days.

Forest School
We have Forest School on Thursday afternoons. Children to come in appropriate clothing and footwear.

Home Learning
This will be sent out on a Friday, to be completed for the following Friday. It will include: dates for your diary, spellings, handwriting, reading, and activities linked to our current learning enquiry and maths unit.

Multiplication Facts
Use Times Tables Rock Stars to practise times tables fluency.

Reading
Children are expected to read for 15 minutes each day. Books can be chosen from the class or school library, or one from home if they prefer.
We use the Sparx Reader app to log our reading and answer comprehension questions.

Spellings
Set weekly as part of home learning and tested on Friday.
