We are reading ...

PE
Our PE session is on a Monday afternoon. Please send children in their PE kit for the whole day.

Forest School
With the weather now much better, we will be resuming our visits to Forest School on Wednesday afternoons.

Home learning
Reading is the priority for home learning in Reception. As your child's phonic knowledge develops, they will bring home reading to practise these sounds. Reading books will be changed weekly.
Please leave a comment in your child's reading diary.
Learning Enquiry
Our Science enquiry for this half term is 'How can one seed grow into an extraordinary garden?' We are using the metacognition tool, pictorial instructions to plant seeds and discover whether plants will grow from seeds that are planted upside down. As the plants grow, we will observe how they change and learn about what they need to grow best.
We will be linking our narrative with the theme of growing and will be using the book, 'Jack and the Jellybean Stalk' to inspire our own writing.
RWE
In RWE we are learning about why Easter is so important to Christians.
