What are we learning?

In Summer 1,  we will be starting our second Geography learning journey. Our big question is: What makes Brixham special? During this learning journey, we will look at a variety of different maps and learn how to find North. We are going to be carrying out some fieldwork looking into traffic in Brixham, compared with London. We are excited to compare this and will be counting vehicles in Brixham and using a traffic live stream in London to do the same. Our outcome is an infographic poster to advertise Brixham. 

In RWE, we are learning about what Christians believe God is like and are making connections to our school ethos and character traits. 

In Maths, we are starting out multiplication and division unit and will be applying our understanding of number to this.

 

PE

Year 1 have PE on Monday and Tuesday. Children can come into school wearing their PE kits on this day.

Forest School

We will be going to forest school regularly in the Summer term. Children to come in wearing appropriate shoes and clothing.

Home learning

A home learning letter will be handed out every Friday, which includes: key dates for your diary, reading, phonics and maths.
