Sam Kinghorn

I am thrilled to be joining Brixham C of E as a part-time teacher and to be working with April Gillard. Before training as a teacher, I studied Politics and Corporate Communications and spent several years working in financial PR and investor relations within investment banking. Although I enjoyed this work, I always knew I wanted to teach, and completing my PGCE — with placements at both Galmpton and Brixham — confirmed that this is where I belong. Having already worked with many of the children during my training, I’m really looking forward to returning and continuing their learning journey.

As a parent of two children at Galmpton Primary, I already feel closely connected to the ACE Trust community and its values. Outside of school, I enjoy horse riding, CrossFit, and spending time with my family and our much-loved animals, including our dog, guinea pigs, chickens and fish. I’m also a big Exeter Chiefs fan and love watching matches whenever I can. I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive classroom where every child feels valued and encouraged to do their best.
