Young Citizen of the Year

7th December 2017

Young Citizen of the Year

On Wednesday 7th November, we welcomed Barrie Riley and his team from the Brixham Branch of the Royal British Legion into school. He came to present this year’s award for the Young Citizen of the Year.

This is an award which is presented to a child who has made a significant contribution to their family, school and community, and is a demonstration of our school values in action.

There were twenty one nominations this year, which is the highest number of nominations we have ever had. Many of our children make considerable contributions to their school, home and  community and it was a difficult decision. Barrie and his team spent lots of time making their choice.

They eventually chose Nuala in Class 5. She is a very worthy winner, and always an excellent role model in our school. She received a shield, a certificate and a voucher.

All children who were nominated received a certificate for their excellent efforts.
