Young Citizen of the Year

7th December 2016
Young Citizen of the Year
Today we welcomed members of the Royal British Legion (Brixham Branch) into school to present this annual  award to a child who has made an outstanding contribution to their community either at home, in school or in Brixham, for example in a sporting sense or through fundraising.
Last year Alex, then in Y4 , was our worthy winner.
This year we had 19 nominations, which is a fantastic response to the award, and the Judges ( led by Barrie Riley) had a difficult task picking a winner.
After much deliberation, they picked Cheyenne in Y5 who shows an extremely mature attitude for someone so young. She is a great role model, who throws herself whole heartedly into school life and has raised money for Young Carers in school. She is a caring and supportive friend.
