Silver Bells Visit
Mrs Rushton will be visiting Silver Bells School, our partner school in Ghaziabad, India, during half term. The children have helped to design and make the gifts that she will be taking to present to the school.
Through our Thinking Thursday acts of worship, we have explored the logos of the two schools and considered how we could amalgamate these to create a shared logo. We have made a display in the hall to reflect the strength and commitment to the partnership, and to share the amazing range of representations that we created.
The children came up with some excellent ideas for gifts – a ‘Rock of Friendship’, a ‘Cushion of Love’ and we have also bought a Tree of Life bauble to take as a gift.
Year Five have created a book of their designs, and this will also be presented to Silver Bells School.
Thank you to Jo Parkes for painting the two school logos on to the rock and inscribing a poem on the back.
A special thank you to Billy in Y4 for his excellent logo, which we have framed, and to Thomas in Y4 for his excellent rhyme, which has been inscribed on the back of the rock.
