Dear Class 5,
Just a note to say I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and over the coming days and weeks. I hope you enjoy the activities I have set you in your home learning pack - hopefully there is something in there for everyone to enjoy. Remember to keep reading, this is a fantastic opportunity to read as much as you can.
As well as the activities I have set you, take the opportunity to go outside as much as you are able. Pick a particular deciduous tree or shrub and notice everyday how it changes as we move into spring. Can you sketch the leaves as they develop or keep a photographic record? How many different types of bird can you spot? Carry out a bug hunt and observe/ predict where you will find the most.
If you are stuck inside, teach yourself origami there are some great videos online. You will need to start with a square which can be made by folding the corner of a rectangular piece of paper over to the opposite edge. Develop your drawing skills, again there are some great online tutorials.
Above all else stay positive and keep busy!
Times tables rock stars
Please ensure that your child plays on Times Tables Rock Stars for at least 15 minutes a week- ideally spread out over 5 sessions of 3 minutes. Little and often works best. It is important that your child plays both studio and garage games. Games in the garage focus on their current stage of learning and studio games will enable them to practise all times tables and earn their rock star status!
Sadly, in creating a new layout for our blog, earlier posts have been lost. Please take a look the photos below recalling some of the activities we have enjoyed this term.
