Music in School
1st March 2018
Music in SchoolOn Wednesday we welcomed Heather Wrighton and Rosanna Ter-Berg into school to perform a harp and flute concert. This was followed by a workshop for some of our KS2 children. All the children and staff enjoyed the performance.
In addition to the overall objective which was to widen our understanding and appreciation of a wide range of music, the benefits of listening to music are well documented and include:
- increase in happiness
- an increase in overall health
- improved sleep
- strengthening of learning and memory
Thank you Year 5 for your responses to the concert, which are on display in the hall and have also been forwarded to Rosanna and Heather.
